Photography

The GOTeams Department Filming a Vlog
I've been told that I'm quite a photographer. It's something that I've never really realized. For me, it's been more of a means to an end, because over the years, I've used photography as a way to capture my subject (a person, an object or even the ever changing pattern of the elements) so I could paint it without it changing whilst I painted it. When I left school I realized I really enjoyed and loved capturing what I saw. Words often describe emotions that words can't. I do paint, using water color pencils, but it's only from time to time, but photography has definitely become something I really love doing now. For me it has the same soothing effects that painting with oil on canvas has. I used to have to paint everyday, now my painting is on a back burner (to the annoyance and frustration of some) whilst photography takes more of my time than it did whilst I was secondary school (when art was one of my subjects).

Over two years ago, I found an internet platform called blipfoto.com. The idea is to post one photo every day, the photo has to be taken on the day you're going to publish it on. Putting the photo through a filter, a day or two after you took it, and then publishing the photo on the day you filtered it doesn't count. I've really enjoyed the challenge of taking a photo a day. It's meant that I've had to look at the world as if through a camera lens. Some days I've really had quite a few challenges finding something I could photograph, other days I've really struggled picking the best of what I've taken. Not all my pictures I post here end up on blipfoto.com, due to the one picture a day policy. Also not all the photos I post on blipfoto.com will automatically be included in my posts, however you'd like to see what I'm publishing each day, the link is: https://www.blipfoto.com/a_unique_life. I do have Instagram... but I'm not included to add someone if I don't recognise the person who's requested to follow me.
